Welcome to Friends Ireland

Welcome to Friends Ireland. We are a charity aimed at bringing communities together through low cost meet ups, classes and services around Ireland. Friends Ireland began in 2013 with mobile classes in libraries and community centres around Galway and Clare. We opened our first centre in Tuam in October 2015.. We currently have classes in Ballybane, Galway and Co. Clare. You can contact us through this website or by calling 085-7043142 for more information on these.

We promote social inclusion and equality for all adults. We help people reach out to new people, in a safe, relaxed social environment, whilst learning new skills. Thus, or classes and groups are open to all adults aged 18+ regardless or race, age, gender or abilities.

It can be a very difficult time for a person who feels socially isolated for whatever reason. Friends Ireland are here to help. Taking the first step can be hard but we promise you won't regret it. You will meet like minded people in a friendly atmosphere and the emphasis on all of our classes and groups is having fun and getting to meet people from your community.

Lastly, you don't have to feel isolated to become involved with us. There is no criteria, please feel free to get in touch with any queries and we will answer them for you.

Friends Ireland Classes

We offer low cost classes and groups in the Galway and Clare region, such as...

unnamed -Mindfulness
-Computer Skills
-Crochet
-Quilling
-Knitting
-Inspirational talks
-Adult Colouring and much more.

Prices start from 20 euro per course, which run from 4-8 weeks. Our classes are a great way to meet new people. They're the perfect opportunity for sharing and exchanging knowledge. What could be better than coupling new friendships with learning new skills and nurturing your mental health.

Our classes put us all on an even keel. This is a great way of finding common ground. Chatting about the class makes for a great ice breaker also. Come along and see for yourself.

Have a look around. Should you have any questions, suggestions or wish to get involved do get in touch. We would love to hear from you.

If you would be interested in setting up a Friends Ireland group in your area please get in touch to discuss this with us, we would be delighted to see the initiative spread.
