Friends Ireland hosted its first social event in August 2013 deamin the form of a guided walk in Renville Park, Co. Galway.

On the day, participants were asked to fill out questionnaires to gauge their interest in a new initiative, Friends Ireland.

The response received  was amazing. 100% of participants were in support of the project and most requested classes or groups as a way of meeting new people, so that’s the direction we took.

Friends Ireland opened their first centre in Tuam, Co. Galway October 2015 with the hope of many more to come. the base is busy with continuous classes open and being attended by the community.

Friends Ireland aim to expand to other counties in Ireland. As it stands we have now expanded to Clare. We have computer classes currently running and hope to continue to expand there.

As a charity we rely on donations and fundraising to make our dreams come true. If there’s any way you’d like to get involved please do get in touch with your ideas.
